A 15-year-old girl at Robert E. Lee High School was charged Wednesday with possession of a firearm on school property after a stolen loaded gun was found on the 1200 S. McDuff Ave. S. campus, according to a Duval County School Board police report.

A school security officer was alerted to it after a photo was posted on social media of a student holding a gun in a girl's rest room, the report said. That student was located and questioned, then her locker was searched just before 11 a.m. and a Ruger handgun was found inside a bag.

The gun, which was reported stolen Nov. 24 to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, was confiscated and the girl arrested, according to the report.
